Understanding the Akashic Records

The History of the Akashic Records

The Akashic records were perhaps first introduced into the general population and popularized by Helena Blavatsky who founded the Theosophical Society in 1875 and Edgar Cayce and American Clairvoyant who died in 1945.  These two individuals were perhaps the beginning of western spiritualism movements. They explored many topics such as spiritual healing, reincarnation, past lives, dream interpretation and of course the Akashic Records.  However, the concept of the Akashic Records is not an entirely new concept. The Christian bible talks about the book of life and a life review after death. Hence the story of St. Peter and the pearly gates. The concept of karma from Buddhism and Hinduism also alludes to the fact that there must be a record somewhere that keeps track of our deeds from one life to another.

What are the Akashic Records?

The Akashic Records can be equated to the Universe’s super-computer system. It is this system that acts as the central storehouse of all information for every individual who has ever lived upon the earth. More than just a data base of events, the Akashic Records contain every deed, word, feeling, thought, and intent that has ever occurred at any time in the history of the world. The Akashic Records contain the entire history of every soul since the dawn of Creation. These records connect each one of us to one another.

Can Anyone Access the Akashic Records?

The short answer is yes, the long answer is no, in that most cannot unless they go through some training and practice on how to access the information.  Really no different than accessing information in any library or data base or even the information on the internet.  It is also important to remember that every individual’s mind or perception is a filter just like the search engines that we use to search for information on the Internet. You will get different search results is you use Google or DuckDuckGo etc.  The other important factor is the type of question you ask and how you ask it, influences the results you obtain. It is important to know what to ask and how to ask the question. For example, questions that require a yes or no answer generally do not give you very much information.

The Art and Skill of performing an Akashic Reading

The first skill required is an open neutral mind.  The second skill is the ability to remain very focused on what you are intending to research.  The third skill is experience and practise. Otherwise, just like on the internet you can find yourself taken down many distracting rabbit holes.  It is easy to become very overwhelmed by the enormity of the information contained within the records. Sometimes the information you are looking for is very easy to obtain. Other information is trickier because it has been fractured by the trauma that was experienced by the Soul you are researching.

Is the Future also Contained in the Akashic Records?

Generally, when completing an Akashic Records Reading I personally mostly focus on the past.  By clearing past issues, the Soul concerned has a greater ability to create the best possible future.  Even though technically there is no past nor future in the Universe it is all the NOW. The concept of the past effecting the future is easily understood by the human conscious mind.

Similarly, the future is very complex and contains multiple potentials and possibilities. Just like you have thought of doing hundreds of things and them simply changed your mind. Some things are set in stone, just as they are in the physical, if you drink a poison you can be fairly sure of the outcome.. I believe however, that multiple potentials and possibilities far outweigh the events set in stone.
