The Silent Weight of Sensitivity: From “Too Much” to Deeply Attuned

The Silent Weight of Sensitivity: From “Too Much” to Deeply Attuned

There are moments when sensitivity feels less like a gift and more like a curse. For as long as I can remember, I’ve absorbed the emotions of others — sometimes softly, sometimes like a flood.

For years, people told me I was too sensitive or broken. But I’ve learned that sensitivity isn’t a flaw — it’s a different way of perceiving life. Some people carry light energy; others project intensity. For sensitives, that difference can feel like standing before a loudspeaker with no volume control.

Even sleep can blur boundaries. Research shows that during sleep, emotional energy is more easily absorbed — explaining why I often woke carrying someone else’s stress. Discovering that science validates this was profoundly healing.

I also experience what I call “downloads” — sudden insights or intuitive bursts that once made me doubt myself. Now, I see them as another form of knowing.

We need safe spaces where sensitivity is honoured, not dismissed. That’s why I created the Evolve Community and courses like Energy Oasis — to help sensitives understand they’re not broken, just wired differently.

Sensitivity is not a defect; it’s a superpower when supported by understanding, rest, and belonging.

In the full article on my Evolve Courses blog, I explore these ideas in more depth — how they unfold through consciousness, creativity, and the evolving dance between the human and the cosmic.

It’s an invitation to linger with the questions, stories, and symbols that shape our shared awakening.

Because awakening doesn’t happen in isolation –

it unfolds in community, creativity, and conscious  choice.
